The Brentwood Community Council, an organization dedicated to keeping Brentwood beautiful and its citizenry engaged and well informed, will annually present this award to a resident, property owner or business operator within Brentwood 90049.
The recipient shall be a person who has made a significant contribution to the improvement of the quality of life in Brentwood, engaged in noteworthy philanthropic activity, or distinguished him/herself in a way that benefits the community.
AWARD SELECTION COMMITTEE: The Chair shall appoint a Committee of not less than three (3) and not more than five (5) current Board Members. The Committee shall review the list of candidates and select a recipient. The Executive Committee (EC) shall be notified of the selection prior to the decision becoming public. There shall be only one Award given in a calendar year.
NOMINATIONS: Any current Board Member or Alternate or Community organizations may submit a candidate. The request must be in writing, addressed to the Chair, providing full description and qualifications. Award nominations must be received not later than November 30th of the previous year that the award is given.
AWARDS EVENT DATE: After the EC is notified of the award recipient by the Selection Committee, the EC shall decide the time, location and method of Award. If special preparation and/or planning is required, the Chair may appoint a COMMITTEE to manage the event. This Committee shall also be responsible for all public relations aspects including media coverage.
